wow its been 2 months...

I can't believe its been 2 months since I have posted something! Luke is getting so big and extremely fun. He is talking so much, eating all types of baby food, he is just starting finger foods. He doesn't like belly time so he hasn't learned to roll over or crawl. He now weighs 21 lbs and is 9 months old. Ill post pictures soon. We just has his 9 month pictures taken. Can't wait to see them!!

Grandma and Grandpa...

I love my grandparents so much!! They are always there for my family when we need them. This year we planted a garden at their house.. it's amazing. We have gotten so much food from it!! The tomatoes are the best. Thanks grandma and grandpa for everything!! Love you.

7 months old...

Where has the time gone!! Luke is already 7 months old. He is getting so big and finally looking like a little handsome boy (no longer a baby). Luke still loves to eat anything and everything (except we just discovered carrots.. he doesn't like those yet). He is very happy and loves to be with his family. Luke has 2 teeth now!! He hasn't been too fussy.. just here and there. He loves to chew on everything including Randy's sleeve on his shirt. We love him so much and are so grateful for him!!

6 month photo shoot...

Here are Luke's cute 6 month pictures!! There were so many cute ones, it was hard to pick which ones to post. My friend Jackie took these pictures in the Provo canyon. It was a lot of fun.

Hannah's Softball Tourny

Hannah is playing softball again this year... she is so good at it. She plays 1st base most of the time. This time the tourny was in Spanish Fork. We stayed in a hotel down there for the weekend. Their team took 6th out of 30 teams. Not too shabby...

Jared got lost on his way there... Hilarious. He is the one that explained to all of us how to get there. He ended up at the wrong hotel by University Mall, ran into construction, took back roads then got lost. He didn't get to us until midnight the first night. We had all been there for hours.

St. George baby!!

We miss St. George so much!! We have so many friends still down there... Matt and Ashley are the ones we get to see the most. Their girls are so cute and just love Luke. We went to Ashley's family reunion at their cabin. It was so nice and beautiful there. Luke went on his first 4 wheeler ride...of course he fell asleep. They have this rhino thing that is way cool where you can sit in it like a car. Luke also loved that and fell asleep:)

6 months old!!

Luke is already 6 months old. Not sure where my time has gone. So much has happened this last month! This was 3 weeks ago... Luke weighs 18.5 pounds, 27 inches long (that was at his doctors appt). Luke isn't sitting up yet or even rolling over. I know of babies much younger than him that are. He is so laid back just like his mommy and daddy. I didn't start walking until I was 14 months old. Luke is eating baby food. He loves peas, bananas, pears, squash and sweet potatoes. I love that his is not very picky. He makes funny faces when we switch the food but then realizes how hungry he is and just scarfs it down. Luke is recognizing mom and dad even more. He loves his thumb and binky! He also loves his aunties and unclies. Caden will just look at him and he starts laughing! He is a busy boy because are always on the go.. he will sleep and eat anywhere. Luke spends lots of him with grandma and grandpa (which he loves all of them so much).

It was over, he wanted more... but then he was happy for the bottle.

5 months

Luke is 5 months old!! I can't believe how fast the time has gone. He is doing so many fun things.. laughing, smiling, talking (his baby talk), sucking on fingers, almost can pull toes to his mouth, eating cereal (isn't very patient because he wants it instantly), noticing fingers and plays with them, loves shower time with daddy, spitting a lot, notices when mommy and daddy come into the room, watches cartoons with auntie abby, can pull toys to his mouth, and loves having a blanky even if its 100 degrees outside. He is now 17 pounds, which is great since he started our 4.8. We love Luke so much and are so blessed that he is doing so well.

VIVA Las Vegas..

We went to Las Vegas for a funeral.. my grandpa passed away suddenly. So this was Luke's 1st trip away from how that was longer than 2 hours. It was so hot, 102 degrees mostly everyday. Luke was so sweaty!! We didn't go on the strip but swimming and visiting family. My grandpa was buried in the veteran cemetery, they had a very nice service for him. Luke was very loud during the service, I wonder if he knew what was going on because he is hardly ever loud and cranky. We visited our friends Matt and Ashley. We stayed with them in St. George, it was so much fun. Luke was such a great boy on the way down that we are going again in a few weeks. Matt and Ashley's girls loved Luke, they couldn't keep their hands off of him. Here is a fun slide of our trip..

The towel incident...

When I got home from work today I decided to take a quick shower. We were going to see granny and grandpa before they went back to Alabama. Luke got in with me also...to make things quick!! Luke got out first and was getting dressed by daddy. Then I got out and put my towel on my head (like I do everyday). I went into Luke's room to talk to him.. as soon as he saw the BIG towel on my head he started screaming. I tried to hold him and talk to him but there was no hope:). So I left the room and told Randy to calm him down. Luke finally settled down and in the mean time I took OFF the towel and went back into talk to him. HMMM.. as soon as he heard my voice he started screaming! Not just a whimper.. it was I AM SCARED scream. So I left the room AGAIN and then he calmed down. I repeated this atleast 5 times. Still nothing!! He did NOT want his mommy. It was so sad at the time but now it's hilarious. He is back to his normal self.. happy and smiley. I hope that never happens again:)

The Big Day..

Luke was blessed on May 3, 2009 by his dad. It was so special and spiritual. Randy gave a wonderful blessing to Luke. We had so many family members there it was great. After the blessing we all came back to our house. So many people in a tiny house!! We did everything outside in our garage..it worked out perfectly. The weather was amazing, little breezy but we couldn't have asked for a better day. Thanks to everyone that came.

Luke's First Easter...

Luke was spoiled on easter from the bunny and grandparents! He was mad when we were trying to take pictures of him with his basket. Randy and I were laughing so hard because he never gets mad or cries so when he does we think it's so cute.

Abby is 7 years old..

Abby is such a beautiful little girl. She is growing up so quickly. Her favorite color is PINK! Abby is definitely a girly girl. Which is way fun because as you all know Hannah wasn't! Abby loves high school musical and hannah montana. She said the new movie was the best ever :)!!

Luke 11 weeks..

Luke is getting so big!! He is laughing and cooing like you would not believe. He is also recognizing his name. Another exciting thing is... He is sleeping thru the night (about 7-8 hours) it's been going on for about 2 weeks now, so hopefully it will last!

8 weeks old... 10 pounds!!! Of course that is with the scale at home so we will find out in a week what he really weighs.

Luke is 6 weeks old in the first pictures and 7 weeks old in the 2nd set of pictures. Hannah and the Orion team won their championship game against Snowcrest. They were down 4 to 27 at half time then came back and won 39 to 33. It was the best game I had ever seen. I wanted to go home because Orion couldn't make a shot and they kept throwing the ball to Snowcrest. Boy was I so glad that I didn't leave..they did amazing and played like a team.

Another reason I haven't been blogging...

Sorry that I don't have updated pictures of Luke yet.. I will this week!! I promise. I need to get them from my mom. I had my gallbladder removed last week. Yes I had surgery!! I couldn't believe that I needed it out. Who would have thought or known that it was all because of having a baby. I had an episode when I was 7 months pregnant but just thought it was the flu. Then I had another about 2 weeks ago w/a vomit fest too. I just laid in bed crying because it was hurting so bad. Remember when i said that I had a panic attack well it was a gallbladder attack. Then I had another one a week ago, same symptoms. Went into the doctor and sure enough I needed surgery that day. Well they couldn't find a surgeon to do it because they were in trama. So I needed to go to the ER!!!! Yes the emergency room...hefty bill I am sure. Then the doctor on call there couldn't find a surgeon so I laid in their uncomfortable bed for 4 hours then I was sent home with some pain meds. Finally 2 days later I was able to get it removed! Thank goodness it was just an outpatient surgery so I didn't have to stay in the hospital. Everything is going well now. I finally was able to hold Luke about 3 days. I still am in pain and can't lift things that are too heavy!!

Luke is doing amazing! I weighed him on my moms scale which showed him at 9lbs!! He has double his birth weight...yeah! We went to Hannah's championship game at weber high! Which was so intense..I'll post those pictures too. I was in a lot of pain after because we were all yelling and clapping so much but it was soooo worth it.

Jessica's Baby Shower..It's a BOY

Jessica's baby shower was at my mom's house, it was the most petite shower you have ever seen. It's sad, we don't have very many people in our family and her mom and sister live in Oregon. So it was just a few of us! But we mingled and had a great time eating!

Here is our diaper cake that we made, I thought it turned out pretty good considering we had never done it before!!

The yummy food... My mom made the amazing salad it had chicken, apples, pineapples, almonds, bowtie noodles and poppy seed dressing. (I think that's all)
